higher tides of the Humber; the gable end of the cottage block attached to
the
lighthouse is that of a recent addition, extending the cottages from three
to four;
the square white building left of centre, beyond the lighthouse, is the Humber
Tavern,
Paull's oldest pub, which used to show a guiding light before the lighthouse
was built.
